Our country is experiencing a moral panic. Some school boards are banning literature and even mention of LGBTQ people. Opponents argue that “the LGBTQ agenda” undermines traditional structures of family, society & religion. As it turns out, there is indeed a rich and challenging area of reflection arising from the queer and trans experience. Why is it seen as so dangerous? In this six-week course, Rev. Dr. Lucas Hergert and Oslo Brewster, Ph.D., will introduce the field known as queer theory and theology. We are excited to offer this course which is unlike any other offered by a religious community. All curious people are welcome.
