Vendors include Maya Works, Gifts of the World, Tulia’s Artisan Gallery, and the Social Action Committee of North Shore Unitarian Church.
MayaWorks partners with over 125 artisans in 6 communities along the central highlands of Guatemala. All artisans are paid a fair wage for their work. Additionally they are supported through microloans to start their own businesses, literacy and skills trainings, and scholarships to send their daughters to school.
Gifts of the World believes artisans and farmers around the world should have the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty and support their families through fair payments and respectful relationships. Every basket, every tablecloth, every necklace they offer has a face behind it– an artisan who works in a safe environment, can send her children to school, and can save for the future with the reliable income she earns through fair trade.
Tulia’s Artisan Gallery provides the finest handcrafted accessories, gifts, and home decor ethically sourced from artisans in Colombia. Tulia’s Artisan Gallery sources directly from indigenous tribes or traditional artisans working to preserve ancestral lands, culture, and traditions. Tulia’s Artisan Gallery provides a platform for these artists to introduce their treasures to new markets, contribute to their local economy and empower their community while ethically sourcing one-of-a-kind quality products. A portion of each purchase will be given to projects in education and/or cultural preservation in Colombia.
