Jesus as Political Radical – A Course with Rev. Lucas Hergert (June 2022)
The Jesus of American religion is often sanitized to support the status quo. This class with Rev. Lucas Hergert lifts up the radicalism of his teachings. We explore the ways he challenged gender roles and hierarchical family structures, promoted radical inclusion, proclaimed the end of violence and empire, and offered good news to the poor and the marginalized. This course is free and open to all.
